"Hiroshige balanced striking landscape views with detailed, often humorous depictions of travellers and their encounters with local customs and various weather conditions"
The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
- Ukiyo-e Printwork Meets Barometric Forecasting: Watch Utagawa Hiroshige's famous 19th-Century prints slide in and out of view on your wall to provide a local barometric weather forecast.
- Japanese Art History in Motion: This very special collaboration with the Ashmolean Museum has five dynamic artwork scenes, expertly pieced together from Hiroshige's collections housed in Oxford. Each change in forecast honours one of the most renowned ukiyo-e artists of all time.
- Future Family Heirloom: A truly limited and numbered timepiece, ensuring future provenance. Each Hiroshige Weather Art Clock is hand-assembled at our workshop in Hampshire, England to blend this historic art with modern British design.
- A Good Size: The Weather Art Clock's frame measures 33cm diameter (13 inches) and 12.5cm deep (5 inches) – big enough to work as a single focal point in a room, small enough to sit alongside other wall art and furnishings.
- Peace of Mind: Reflecting the trust we put in our dedicated workshop team and the quality of our clocks, every one comes with a one-year warranty, easily extendable to two years by registering your purchase.

Watch the Transformation
Want to show off your clock's serene sunshine or storm-swept drama? Don’t wait for the weather to change, just press the demonstration button on the base of the frame to make the scenes whizz into life – then watch the reaction from friends and family. -
Iconic Edo-Era Art
The five illustrated scenes are expertly pieced together from Utagawa Hiroshige’s world-renowned ukiyo-e prints, including his iconic Edo collections. The scenes change with the barometric air pressure, offering the five classic forecasts: ‘Very Dry’, ‘Fair’, ‘Change’, ‘Rain’, and ‘Stormy’. -
Easy to Hang (Indoors!)
A single screw in the wall can hold the clock and you get a nifty hanging guide in the box. This clock is for indoor use only – just please don't hang it within 50cm (20 inches) of a radiator. The delicate barometric mechanics don’t enjoy direct heat. -
Ashmolean Collaboration Certificate
A mark of its unique provenance, your clock will be hand-numbered and certified to confirm its status as a limited edition piece created in partnership with the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. -

A Note on Altitude
Our clocks are designed to work up to 180m above sea level. If you live above 180m, the lower air pressure makes the clock unusually pessimistic. We can alter its brains for you – just get in touch with us here. Or find out more about clocks at altitude.
10/10 love my clock, which should be called the 'What's That Clock' as all my friends and family say when they first see it.

The clock has gone down very well and it hangs pride of place in our stairwell. It looks fabulous! The animations are really quite fun and we get quite excited when the forecast changes. Thanks again for the amazing clock.

We now have a beautiful clock that tells the time, predicts the weather, reminds us of London, and proves that some people still care about craftsmanship, and about taking the time to get things right.

We love having the clock. The children check the weather every morning and all throughout the day run into the kitchen to see how it has changed if we hear it moving. We love it!
