Clever electro-mechanical design
The scenery updates every 30 minutes to keep track of the average moving tide. Like all Tide Clocks, it is set to work on a semi-diurnal timer of 12 hours 25 minutes and 15 seconds between high tides. Just set the Clock to 'High Tide' when your favourite coastal location is also in flood and you're in sync. -
Watch a full day at the seaside
The ‘mechanically animated’ illustrations can be demonstrated to friends and family at the push of the ‘Mechanimate’ button on the clock – it will then complete an entire tidal loop with boats bobbing up and down along the way. Swimwear and ice cream is optional! -

Quality materials
Steel clock frame is hand-finished. The Black, Grey or Blue coloured powder coats are silky smooth. Copper-plated frames have a nice clear lacquer finish to prevent any oxidisation over time. Printed card clock face sits behind the anodised metal minute and hour hands. The harbour artwork print is onto lightweight artboard. The clock window is shatterproof Lumex. -

A note on unusual tide patterns
Our Tide Clocks forecast the tide state on a semi-diurnal mechanism. They therefore time the twice daily rise and fall of a standard semi-diurnal tide, (as found in all of the United Kingdom, most of Europe and the East Coast of the USA) that results from the gravitational pull of the moon. We love our new clock and it’s beautiful construction. The tide clock is really accurate in telling ebbing and flooding tides and the moving display is lovely. We particularly love the flashing lighthouse. Very pleased with our purchase that has already been admired by lots of people.
A great timepiece that also lets me know when it’s time for a wonderful dip in the sea.

Good points: provides an accurate indication of the tide state at our local quay, is definitely a talking point for visitors. Not so good points, case appears dented, was going to return but website information indicates the distortion is normal where internal brackets are welded. The tide display movement is noisy, unfortunately the clock makes a noise like a large African animal breaking wind, which can be quite embarrassing for visitors not accustomed to this feature. The wife likes the clock though and finds this attribute amusing.

We're delighted that the clock is helping you keep track of the tides but we're less delighted that you have an especially noisy clock, there...! We're just wondering whether there is something wrong here. The clocks should make a 'burble' for sure (that will quieten even further with use). But they shouldn't cause alarm!
Our clock frames might have 'dimples' in them from hand welding at the metalworks but there should be no distortion. This could, perhaps, be preventing a good seal around the face and making the mechanism more audible than usual. If you are able to get back to us with a video of the clock frame and the clock moving, we can advise?!
